Internship - Engineering
Job Purpose:
The Engineering supports both design and manufacturing engineering activities under the direction of the Engineering Manager. This role assists with engineering drawings, prototype builds, basic calculations, and data collection. The also contributes to manufacturing support by helping resolve material, component, and quality issues. All work must follow company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
In this role, the will participate in new seat and sub‑assembly design efforts by producing engineering drawings, building and testing prototype components, and performing basic engineering calculations. They will collect, organize, and graph engineering data to support ongoing development work. The will also assist manufacturing engineers by helping troubleshoot material availability challenges and component quality concerns. Throughout all tasks, the is expected to follow safety procedures, maintain accuracy, stay organized, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have three to four years of progress toward an Engineering degree and a solid understanding of basic engineering principles. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email are required. The role also calls for clear written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively within a team and manage tasks independently.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates may have experience with 3D computer modeling, test data collection, and mechanical systems. Strong organizational skills, critical‑thinking abilities, and a motivated, proactive approach to problem‑solving are also beneficial for success in this internship.
