Location: Goodyear, AZ (On-Site)
Schedule: 20–40 hours per week (Full-Time during breaks available)

GTI Fabrication is a leader in industrial modular manufacturing, delivering engineered-to-order steel structures, containerized systems, and mission-critical enclosures for the energy, defense, and heavy-industrial markets. Our Goodyear, AZ facility supports fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, and system integration operations.
This is designed for engineering students who want hands-on manufacturing experience, not desk-only work.
Role Overview
The Industrial / Mechanical Engineering will support manufacturing engineering, production, and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. This role works directly with engineers, supervisors, and operators to improve safety, efficiency, quality, and throughput.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing engineers with process documentation, work instructions, and layout updates
- Assist with time studies, capacity analysis, and workflow optimization
- Help develop and update BOMs, routings, and production documentation
- Participate in root-cause analysis for quality or production issues
- Support fixture, tooling, or basic mechanical design tasks (as applicable)
- Collect and analyze production data to support continuous improvement projects
- Spend time on the shop floor observing fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Able to work at least 20 hours per week (up to 40 hours available)
- Strong interest in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial engineering
- Basic proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD) a plus
- Comfortable working in a shop-floor environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
