Engineering Geologist - Doncaster\n\nLocation: Doncaster\n Salary: £30,000 - £38,000\n\nA talented multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to recruit an Engineering Geologist to join its growing Doncaster office. The business has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality geotechnical, geoenvironmental and civil engineering solutions across the residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure and energy sectors.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit team where you'll have the chance to work on a wide variety of projects, gain exposure to every stage of ground investigations and receive ongoing support to progress your career.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs an Engineering Geologist, you'll be involved in both site and office-based work, supporting the delivery of ground investigation projects from initial fieldwork through to factual reporting. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and geologists in a collaborative environment with plenty of opportunities to develop your technical skills.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupervising ground investigation works, including rotary drilling, cable percussion, window sampling and trial pitting.\nLogging soil and rock in accordance with current British Standards.\nCollecting and scheduling soil, rock and groundwater samples for laboratory testing.\nSupervising subcontractors and ensuring works are carried out safely and efficiently.\nPreparing factual ground investigation reports.\nInterpreting ground conditions and assisting with geotechnical assessments.\nLiaising with clients, contractors and the wider project team.\nEnsuring compliance with health and safety procedures on site.\n\nRequirements\n\nDegree in Engineering Geology, Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.\nPrevious experience in ground investigation or engineering geology.\nGood understanding of soil and rock logging.\nStrong communication and report-writing skills.\nFull UK driving licence.\nA proactive approach and willingness to work on a variety of projects.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary with regular salary reviews.\nCompany pension scheme.\nProfessional membership fees paid.\nOngoing training and mentoring.\nSupport towards Chartership.\nClear career progression within a growing consultancy.\nA friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment.\nExposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK.\nFlexible working where appropriate
