Job Description

You are an experienced Estimator ready to play a key role within a growing manufacturing and engineering organisation. Working closely with Sales, Engineering/Design and Procurement teams, you will prepare accurate quotations, assess project requirements, and coordinate with clients and suppliers to determine full project costs and production availability.

Estimator – Skills & Experience

\n
• Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering or a related technical field.
  
  \n

\n

• Proven experience estimating custom manufacturing or engineering projects.
  
  \n

\n

• Ability to read and interpret Specifications, Schematics and Single Line Diagrams.
  
  \n

\n

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
  
  \n

\n

• Excellent IT skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office applications.
  
  \n

\n

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering work to an exceptional standard.
  
  \n

\n

• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  
  \n

\n

As an Estimator, you will:

\n
• Review project specifications, schematics and technical drawings to fully understand scope and requirements.
  
  \n

\n

• Work closely with Engineering/Design teams to ensure accurate interpretation of project needs.
  
  \n

\n

• Engage with the sales team and clients to clarify specifications and confirm scope of works.
  
  \n

\n

• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers to source pricing, identify cost efficiencies and ensure competitive quotations.
  
  \n

\n

• Prepare detailed costings, quotations and tender submissions for bespoke manufacturing projects.
  
  \n

\n

• Maintain up-to-date cost databases, historical pricing records and estimating tools.
  
  \n

\n

• Contribute to ongoing process improvements to increase estimating accuracy and efficiency over time.
  
  \n

\n

• Support project teams with commercial insights, pricing updates and production scheduling information when required.
  
  \n
