Employer: Viking Pump a Unit of IDEX Corporation Position: Engineering Draftsperson Terms of Employment: Full-time / Permanent Location: Windsor, Ontario Employment Address: 661 Grove Ave, Windsor, ON N9A 6M3 Hours of Work: 40 hours/week Language: English Benefits: Eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or salary increases in accordance with company policy.Eligible for medical, dental and disability insurance.Eligible for life insurance and pension. Salary: $60,000 CAD per annum Duties: Selecting proper motors, reducers, and other components.Develop and prepare design sketchesCreating Bills of Material (BOMS) for assemblies.Preparing and maintaining engineering drawings and technical documentation.Complete documentation packages and produce drawing setsPerforming inspection functions and maintaining Engineering Change Notice (ECN) logs and files.Creating layout designs and details for pump packages using CAD.Maintaining orderly drawing libraries.Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design dataCreating assemblies bill of material.Coordinating and preparing documentation for Engineered orders/projects.Maintaining ECN logs and files.Item master creation in the production system.Managing Quality Control related tasks as required.Acting as a contributing member of the EH&S Team.Performing Return Material Authorization (RMA) warranty inspections.Scheduling and reporting pump repair.Performing inspection functions for incoming goods and outgoing assemblies.Assisting with implementation of Engineering process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.Completion of a college diploma in mechanical technology or related field is required3+ years' with CAD software and SolidWorks 3D modeling3+ years' experience within a manufacturing settingWorking knowledge with measuring tools such as micrometer and vernier.
