Every day, 86,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.\n\nYour future role\n\nJoin the team responsible for the development of future trains in the UK and abroad.  We are looking for an experienced engineering leader who is an expert in mechanical integration and/or system engineering as applied to whole train, vehicle, installation, assembly and detail level.  \n\nWe’ll look to you for:\n\nManagement and technical leadership of design and sub-system engineers responsible for vehicle interior design, integration and mechanical sub-systems.  \nManage team workload planning, resource allocation, and forecasting to secure QCD commitments, including timely escalation of capacity, skills, or delivery risks.  \nRegular reporting to management and alert in case of issue impacting the team performance  \nContinuous improvement of the team performance for project/program activities, on-time and right first-time delivery  \nCompliance to Engineering processes & instructions  \nDeploying problem solving methodologies with necessary interfaces with other stakeholders  \nSupporting the team in the resolution of issues and challenging actions  \nContinuous improvement or Return on Experience management from previous projects  \nPeople Management and Competency Development   \nFoster strong cross‑functional collaboration within the UK organisation and the global mechanical integration and sub-system network.   \n\nAll about you\n\nWe value passion and attitude over experience.
