Engineering Coordinator in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne & Wear

Our client based in Newcastle is looking for an Engineering Coordinator. This role is on an initial one-year contract based outside IR35. As the Engineering Coordinator you will have the following:
Key responsibilities, accountabilities, and decision ownership:
* Provide technical coordination between engineering teams, acting as the interface between design organisations.
* Monitor programme and report on deliverables progress.
* Support coordination of internal assurance and review activities.
* Monitor supplier performance and assist in managing via contractual mechanisms.
* Chair and record meetings ensuring actions are logged and followed up.
* Support the Principal Designers Representative in chairing and coordinating hazard reviews.
* Liaise with construction teams to prioritise design activities.
* Coordinate technical queries between site team and design office.
* Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
* Minimum 3yrs experience within a Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
* Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and efficient manner.
* Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable county, province, and federal/ statutes and guidelines.
* Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Accredited degree or global equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline.
* Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite.
* Fluent in English .
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD &/or Revit
* Full UK driving license.
* Desirable: Experience in delivering power or transmission infrastructure projects, or projects within a heavily regulated environment.
* Desirable: Experience working with BIM models
