About the Role
The Engineering Coordinator oversees and organizes the daily activities of highly skilled engineering staff while ensuring company objectives and goals are met. This role focuses on supporting the in-person engineering team within a single office building, ensuring smooth operations, effective task tracking, healthy team dynamic, and proactive communication with cross-functional departments. The role also provides guidance on implementing best practices to maximize energy efficiency and operational effectiveness.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate engineering functions and operations, including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development for new and existing product lines.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between clients/customers and engineers regarding specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
- Organize collaborative meetings and ensure projects adhere to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Maintain project tracking data to provide accurate visibility into workload, priorities, and progress.
- Provide application engineering support for existing and future products serving Mission Critical/Data Center environments and containment solutions.
- Assist in the development of white papers supporting structural containment and related peripheral products.
- Identify trends in Data Center design and collaborate with R&D to guide new product development in response to market needs.
Additional Expectations
- Schedule onboarding for new employees, ongoing training sessions, and project review meetings.
- Track employee attendance, temporary employee timesheets, and contractor invoices.
- Plan or delegate team-building activities, welcome lunches, and travel coordination.
- Implement and maintain administrative policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Maintain awareness of quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance requirements, and report quality issues, unsafe acts, or unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- General knowledge of cooling technologies and strategies for Data Center environments.
- Experience with energy audits and cooling optimization ().
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
