Job Summary:

This position will work primarily in an office setting providing support to a dynamic Product Engineering team of a company located in Roscoe Illinois that engineers and manufactures linear motion systems and components with customers around the world.

The Engineering Administrator will be a vital part of the Product Design Engineering Team, with responsibilities of creating entries in our ERP system, editing existing entries, completing documentation of Engineering Changes as needed and working directly with Product Engineers to provide detailed material to our operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibility for upkeep and revision control in ERP system (Syteline).
  • Processes engineering change notices (ECN), including initiation, distribution, closing and status updates.
  • Helps verify customer specification changes that are received.
  • Has responsibilities managing and controlling some internal engineering documentation.
  • Conducts clerical updates as directed, including data entry, error corrections, and report creation.
  • Updates manufacturing comments or BOM (Bill of Material) as directed.
  • Follows and complies with safety rules, regulations, and work instructions.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or Certificate in Business and experience to a manufacturing environment is preferable. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is essential. Prior experience with ERP systems or similar computer systems is .

SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, reports, and correspondence. Ability to write routine memos and correspondence. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and write English effectively. Requires accurate and efficient data processing skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions and percentages to practical situations.
