Job Overview:

MPE is seeking an Engineer Co-Op capable of thinking outside the box to complete a wide variety of tasks. This individual will work with MPE's Engineering team to complete process improvement projects, design manufacturing equipment, and model conveyor systems using 3D software. Ideal candidate will possess the proven ability to effectively use 3D software, have basic understanding of processing plant design, and have excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models of conveyor systems from concept stage to assist with the sales process.
• Communicate internally with MPE sales team to understand initial customer requirements.
• Assist with design and modeling of manufacturing equipment in the food & coffee industries.
• Work with production to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Work in a laboratory setting to perform R&D testing on new products.

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and take the initiative with limited direction
• Ability to quickly grasp and learn technical concepts related to company's products and applications
• Ability to collaborate effectively on a daily basis with sales personnel and customers.
• Ability to communicate efficiently through both written and verbal mediums
• Ability to "think outside the box" and be inventive in developing solutions that meet customer needs
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Desire and willingness to learn
• Exudes the company values of Results Oriented, Teamwork, and Accountability

Essential Technical Skills:

• Experience and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Experience with 3D modeling Required, Solidworks
