Position: Engineering Buyer

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000



Engineering Buyer required for a well-established manufacturer based in the Stoke-on-Trent area who are actively seeking an experienced Engineering Buyer to join the team.



Engineering Buyer Position Overview



Managing the purchasing of products with operational and strategic procurement methods

Refining processes to increase efficiency within the purchasing department

Negotiating with suppliers to maximise cost savings whilst maintaining quality standards

Managing suppliers' relationships

Utilising the company MRP system to manage procurement functions

Engineering Buyer Position Requirements



Proven background as a Buyer within an Engineering environment

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all supplier levels.

Based in a commutable distance of Stoke on Trent

Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

Commercially aware with the ability to analyse cost drivers and identify savings opportunities.

Engineering Buyer Position Remuneration



Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience

Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30, full-time, permanent position.

25 days holiday, plus bank holidays

Discretionary annual profit scheme
