Engineer - Roads and Highways
We are seeking a talented and innovative Engineer specialising in Roads and Highways to join our esteemed engineering firm in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our team you will contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge transportation infrastructure projects across the region.
- Design and develop road and highway projects ensuring compliance with local UAE and international standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions
- Utilise advanced engineering software to create detailed road and highway designs
- Conduct thorough analyses of traffic flow safety considerations and environmental impact
- Implement sustainable and innovative road construction techniques
- Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure project quality and progress
- Prepare technical reports design calculations and project documentation
- Contribute to the preparation of project proposals and tender documents
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in road and highway engineering
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative work environment
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering; Masters degree is advantageous
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in road and highway engineering
- Proficiency in road and highway design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Strong knowledge of UAE and international road and highway design standards and regulations
- Experience in delivering BIM Infrastructure projects
- Expertise in sustainable road construction techniques and innovative design solutions
- Solid understanding of traffic flow analysis and transportation planning concepts
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles related to road construction
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities and experience working in multicultural environments
- Familiarity with local UAE road design standards and regulations
- Experience working on projects in the Middle East region is highly desirable
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
