The Role:
We are currently seeking a highly capable and experienced Project Engineer with multi-disciplinary expertise to support the delivery of complex infrastructure works within a Transport for London (TfL) environment. This is a contract role suited to an engineering professional who can hit the ground running and manage technical interfaces across civil, mechanical, electrical, and systems disciplines on major transport projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee engineering input across multiple disciplines to support delivery of TfL infrastructure projects.
Ensure technical compliance with TfL standards, UK regulations, and engineering best practices.
Liaise with designers, contractors, consultants, and TfL stakeholders to manage design reviews, approvals, and assurance documentation.
Drive resolution of multi-discipline technical issues across project stages – from design to commissioning.
Support constructability assessments, site reviews, and technical validation processes.
Contribute to engineering assurance, risk management, and delivery planning in line with TfL governance frameworks.
Essential Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent).
Demonstrable multi-discipline engineering experience within a TfL or similar transport infrastructure environment.
Strong understanding of TfL standards, procedures, and engineering assurance processes.
Proven ability to manage technical interfaces and coordinate cross-discipline teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with LU/TfL Pathway and Assurance processes.
