Description:

The Engineer I – Electrical & Embedded Software is focused on the design, development, and support of both electrical hardware and embedded software for Culligan’s residential, retail, and commercial water treatment products. This individual will contribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiatives, working under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software/firmware for electronic control systems in water treatment products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and sequences of operation.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including software requirements, design specifications, interface control documents, and unit test plans.
  • Perform software integration and regression testing to ensure system functionality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software/firmware to support product improvements and field updates.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, from concept through production release.
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical and electromechanical systems under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototype development for new and existing products.
  • Write and execute test procedures to evaluate both software and hardware performance and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain bills-of-materials (BOMs) and other supporting documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and/or computer science.
  • 1+ years of experience in electrical engineering design/development including electrical & electromechanical component specification and integration, electrical test, PCB layout, embedded systems, microcontrollers, and circuit design.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical 3D models and P&IDs.
  • Able to use PCB layout software and basic CAD to create circuit & PCB drawings.
  • Able to build prototype hardware and test equipment with direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior engineers.

Target Salary Range: $77,000 - $85,000 salary a year with the opportunity for eligible employees to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for competitive benefits, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, benefits and 401(k).
