Engineer - Civil 3D RLPS

NorthTex is a general contractor who is advanced in the construction game. Similar to any engineer firm, we utilize Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Teams, and much more. Although we do NOT design or draft any corridors or utilities, we utilize Civil 3D to create a design surface based off the plan set the engineers have provided to us. CAD files are provided, Plans are provided and Control information is given to us as contractors.
Although all is provided we will need to recreate a model in Civil 3D for our GPS heavy machinery to be able to cut grade automatically. Not only that, we fly our own Lidar Drone to capture existing ground surface. We process and clean point cloud in house and run a volume report in Civil 3D.
For this position we would like someone who already knows the interface of civil 3d like the back of their hand. I know what we do with civil 3d is minimal, but if you drafted and designed before we would be excited to learn new methods. Main role for this position will be providing Cubic Yards from volume report for every project and help in designing surfaces in Civil 3d. Our ideal candidate will possess the following
· Experience developing engineering deliverables such as engineering reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and other detailed engineering deliverables.
· Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience managing water and/or wastewater pumping, treatment and conveyance projects Experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors
· Experience with Civi 3D software
· Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision
· Capable of independent and team work environments
· Must possess a strong detail-oriented work style and an accommodating and proactive attitude
Requirements
· Constant modeling, roughly 3 projects per week and constant revisions.
· Work/coordinate with project team personnel.
· Bluebeam Revu experience
· Be able to run volume reports efficiently and accurately
· Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, being able to make multiple models per plan sets
· Knowing how to transfer linework and surfaces onto Pocket 3D
· Having an understanding of Topcon Products
· Be able to construct roadways, intersections, underground pipe, waterline and lots
· This position will have field and non-field related responsibilities.
· Other duties may be assigned as determined appropriate by the supervisor based on level of experience.
