We are looking for a multiple Gasoline Engine Control Engineers to work in Metro Detroit. These roles will require that the Controls Engineers at least 3-5 years of experience within Controls systems with an emphasis within spark ignition (this is a must)

The Controls & Electronics Team executes functional development, integration & optimization of the powertrain software & control systems into the overall vehicle platform. The group is also responsible for the overall control system operation. Technologies supported include controls for: Engine, After-treatment, Transmission, Driveline, Hybrid, Electrified Powertrain, and overall vehicle.

The specific roles for the Powertrain Controls Engineer include:

  • Plans and performs Controls Software Development and other relevant engineering project work within the project team as required.
  • Plans and manages engineering resources according to project requirements.
  • Works on specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, preparation of specifications, technical plans, testing, data analysis and validation.
  • Supports/ensures data quality and writes technical project reports.
  • Reviews project for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements
  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering test issues.
  • Plans and executes research and development activities.
  • Supports, organizes, and leads customer meetings.
  • Other duties as required to ensure project success

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field required
  • Masters' degree
  • 3-5+ years' experience within controls
  • Spark Ignition experience
  • Gasoline Engine
