Position Overview:
We are seeking a team-player to join our Modeling team at the Houston, TX office. We are hiring for the positions of Energy Modeling Analyst for IECC and Title 24. This is a full-time position (8AM-5PM, M-F). Reporting to energy modeling manager, analyst will perform energy modeling analysis for residential structures using whole building analysis programs such as REMRate, Ekotrope, and EnergyPro. Analyst will collect data, build models and perform simulations using drawings prepared by the project Architect and Engineer. Analyst will write reports communicating energy analysis findings, report design recommendations for improved energy performance.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Examining residential building plans
Performing take offs of the building envelope
Inputting data and modeling in REMRate/Ekotrope (IECC)
Inputting data and modeling in EnergyPro (Title 24)
Requirements
Years of Experience/Other Requirements:
1-2 years of relatable experience
An understanding of residential construction and architectural plans.
Experience with EnergyPro, Ekotrope and REMRate are not required, we will train you on the job.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understands current energy codes and programs
The ability to read and understand a set of residential architectural plans
Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans
Good math skills
High attention to detail
Interpersonal skills
Eloquent and professional communication skills (both verbal and written) a must
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PDF programs, and Microsoft Outlook
Strong time management and organization skills
Quick learner
Experience with web navigation and online research
