Energy Marshal
An Energy Marshal plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant handling of energy systems during construction and commissioning, especially in complex environments like data centers. Responsibilities include overseeing and enforcing electrical safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations, such as NFPA 70E and OSHA, reviewing documentation, conducting audits, and providing expert guidance on energy isolation procedures. They also coordinate energization and de-energization activities with various stakeholders, participate in high-risk activity planning meetings related to energy isolation, and maintain and update relevant documentation, such as single-line drawings.
Essential skills include extensive experience in construction and electrical systems, and a strong understanding of safety standards like NFPA 70E and OSHA. Additional skills and qualifications include more than 10 years of experience in electrical contracting and a quality-minded approach to ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
The role requires working in complex environments like data centers, emphasizing adherence to strict safety protocols and effective coordination with multiple stakeholders. This is a contract to hire position based out of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $43.00/hr.
