Job Summary:
The Compliance & Employee Relations Coordinator will lead all efforts related to regulatory compliance, employee relations, and required government reporting. Knowledgeable and proactive in human resource matters; gathering, collecting, and maintaining documentation and records required for policy development and investigations. Serve as a key member of the HR leadership team, contributing to workforce strategy, risk mitigation, and operational planning. This position should have a thorough understanding of employment law, manufacturing-specific HR practices, and a hands-on approach to leadership and execution.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure company-wide compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor and employment regulations.
- Lead compliance audits of HR systems, records, and practices (e.g., I-9, wage and hour, OSHA, FMLA, ADA).
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures to reflect current laws and best practices in the manufacturing industry.
- Lead the employee relations function across all locations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and manager coaching.
- Manages the resolution of workplace issues with fairness, timeliness, and attention to legal and reputational risk.
- Collaborate closely with plant managers and HR Business Partners to ensure consistent application of policies and discipline procedures.
- Support and coach frontline supervisors and plant leaders on disciplinary documentation and employee communications.
- Prepare and submit all legally required reports (e.g., EEO-1, VETS-4212, ACA compliance, OSHA 300 logs).
- Ensure readiness for external audits and investigations from agencies such as the DOL, EEOC, and OSHA.
- Maintain documentation and internal reporting systems to support data accuracy, retention, and transparency.
- Lead training programs and refresher related to compliance topics such as harassment prevention, bystander training, workplace conduct, and regulatory changes.
- Partner with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and operations leadership to align workplace policies with regulatory and safety standards.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication, documentation, and policy-writing skills with English proficiency.
- Ability to communicate with other team members and employees in an effective, concise, pleasant, courteous, and tactful manner.
- Must be extremely organized, accurate, task- and detail-oriented, with the ability to adjust and manage multiple priorities in a short period of time.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, safety compliance).
- Experience leading sensitive investigations and guiding leaders through complex employee relations scenarios.
- Ability to easily interact and quickly build strong working relationships with business partners, colleagues, and employees at all levels of the organization.
- A focus on continuous improvement and commitment to learning and shaping new HR practices.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with, and strong knowledge of HR software.
- At least 3+ years of experience in human resources, within a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing labor practices (e.g., union avoidance).
- Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Spanish proficiency, to include verbal and written communication, is a plus.
