We offer challenging and meaningful careers, with competitive benefits and flexible work arrangements.The EMEA Manufacturing Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the support, lifecycle management, and solution delivery of the all infrastructure solutions used by the Supply Chain and Operations functions for sites located across Europe, with a primary focus in Oroszlany and Tatabanya, Hungary. In close collaboration between other IT stakeholders, and other manufacturing leaders from the EMEA region, this role is responsible for all infrastructure used within VWTS’s manufacturing operations management teams.Key Characteristics:● Discuss needs with manufacturing personnel in a non-technical language● Develop estimates and budgets for manufacturing execution system related activities● Project management through implementation/post-implementation● Have operational knowledge of factory automation equipment and how this equipmentinterfaces to business applications● Support manufacturing network as-required● Be hands-on with manufacturing execution system operational activities● Have full understanding of all infrastructure related activities critical to MES execution (LAN, WAN, Switches, Routers, Servers, Racks)● Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices across European sites● Communicate teams’ progress to business stakeholders and IT leadership● Propose process technology improvements and capital expenditures● Have a detailed understanding of all shop floor and administrative business processes● Support all existing shop-floor architecture● Be a professional that is self-motivated and driven to accomplish company initiatives● Have good interpersonal skills and strong working relationships with local business teams● Strong communication and administrative skills Responsibilities:● Collaborate with client partners, acting as a trusted advisor, to understand their processrequirements and translate them into system designs and MES functional solutions.● Prepare detailed functional requirements and specification documents to assist thetechnical teams in software and infrastructure development.● Define, design, build, test and oversee the implementation of the end to end MES solutions including systems, interfaces and platforms changes.● Perform functional and integration tests to confirm solution design before deployment tothe production environment.● Identify the root cause of operational issues, diagnose problem areas, design and buildsolutions.● Collaborate with external support partners to meet service level agreements.● Manage IT projects and support operations in the Supply Chain and Manufacturing.● Apply and adhere to IT standards including; security, data privacy, quality, projectmanagement and process● Deliver quality solutions on-time, within scope, and on budget.● Business and IT stakeholders management.Hard Skills:● Basic understanding of all MES modules and International Standards of Automation (ISA).● Possess creative thinking and problem-solving skills to produce impactful and innovativedesigns.● Ability to understand and translate complex concepts with clarity and simplicity.● Experience with multinational enterprise environments, working with multicultural globalteams, delivering MES solutions through project implementations.● Demonstrate ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.● Basic knowledge of continuous improvement and project management.Soft Skills:● Inclusive: Passion for working in different cultures and environments, in a collaborativeorganization with a diversity team.● Team Player: Ability to work with others toward a shared goal, participating actively,accountable and committed to the entire team respecting peers, leadership, stakeholders,and clients. ● Inspirational: Excellent oral and written communication skills: Communicate clearly andprofessionally with Supply Chain and Finance professionals within the organization beingable to inspire others.● Decision Maker: Challenge the status quo and make decisions based on your role to be an effective problem solver and use critical thinking skills to find new ideas and connect them to provide the best practices and tools to our stakeholders and clients.● Flexibility: Adapt and respond to the changing environment and to constructively createopportunities for change through active participation. Continuous learning and curiosity.● Proven ability to lead and influence people, both directly and indirectly, Able tolead/execute changeQualificationsRequired:● Certification and/or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fielddegree from an accredited college or university● Minimum of 8 years experience in manufacturing execution system (MES) and otherengineers and operations technology (OT) systems.● Strong foundational knowledge of standard GE Proficy and SAP processes and modules● Proven leadership skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment● Have good understanding of all Infrastructure related activities critical to MES execution(LAN, WAN, Servers, Cluster on application level and on server level)● Self-motivated and a good team player.● Experience implementing software used in shop floor environments● Experience with Plant Information Management Systems, including RFID● Have operational experience with Factory Automation Equipment and in-depth knowledgeof how this equipment interfaces to business applications● English and Hungarian language proficiencyPreferred:● Knowledge of all components of enterprise architecture● Experience using General Electric’s (GE) Proficy● Experience with International Standards of Automation (ISA) framework● Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills● Experience in business strategy development● Knowledge and experience in water technology, utility, engineering, or manufacturingenvironment● Experience with business process design● Preferred global experience● Agile and /or, PMI certificationAdditional InformationWorking Conditions available for travel up to 10%As an inclusive company, Veolia is committed to diversity and gives equal consideration to all applications, without discrimination.
