Starting Salary: $18.00 hour
Position: Part-Time & Full-Time
Hours: 10am to 6pm or 11pm to 7am
6 Head 15 needle Embroidery Machine
Experience required
An embroidery machine operator sets up, operates, and maintains
embroidery machines to create precise designs on fabrics, ensuring high-quality output and timely completion of orders.
Key Responsibilities
• Machine Setup and Operation: Prepare embroidery machines by selecting appropriate threads, fabrics, hoops, and designs, and load patterns into the machine for production.
• Quality Control: Monitor the embroidery process to ensure designs are accurate, colors match specifications, and stitching is even without fabric damage.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, calibrate machines, troubleshoot issues such as thread breaks or misaligned fabric, and conduct minor repairs.
• Order Management: Keep detailed records of work orders, track production progress, and report any issues to supervisors.
• Creative Input: Provide suggestions on design placement, thread and fabric selection, and assist in improving final products.
• Collaboration and Training: Work with designers or clients to understand requirements, and provide guidance or training to junior staff.
• Post Production Tasks: Sort, fold, and prepare embroidered items for shipping or sale, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Education: High school diploma is typically required; courses in design or textiles are advantageous.
• Experience: Prior experience operating embroidery machines or similar equipment is ; entry-level candidates may receive on-the-job training.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with embroidery machines, design software, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor intricate patterns and maintain precision throughout production.
• Manual Dexterity: Skilled hand-eye coordination for handling threads, fabrics, and machine adjustment
• Analytical and Creative Abilities: Ability to interpret project specifications and provide design suggestions.
• Typically based in workshops, factories, or textile production facilities.
• May require standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Operators often report to a Production Manager or Shift Supervisor and work as part of a team.
