Acutronic is looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer II to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical design and development of embedded control systems in support of the following Acutronic product lines: actuation systems, turbo-generators, power , power conversion, & distribution, and micro-thrust turbines. Our ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in embedded system design.
Embedded Systems Engineer II
Your Roles/Responsibilities:
- Electrical design and development of embedded control systems in support of the following Acutronic product lines:
- Actuation Systems
- Turbo Generators
- Power , Conversion, and Distribution
- Micro-thrust Turbines
- Utilize and develop system and circuit performance models using MATLAB/SIMULINK (or equivalent)
- Collaborate with the hardware engineering team for firmware development for:
- Motor control (BLDC, FOC) using DSP/FPGA technology
- Power electronics for motor control, rectification, DC-DC conversion, and distribution
- Integration of various sensors used in closed loop control systems (resolver, VDT, pressure, current, HED)
- Design and develop test benches as required to test electronic hardware modules
- Design and develop supporting software utilized in design validation testing and production testing
- Document firmware/software per industry standard practices and communicate theory of operation, etc.
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university, required
- Five years of experience in embedded system design
- Master’s Degree in Engineering
