Electronics Quality Engineer

Job Summary: Reporting to the Quality Manger, the Quality Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and analyzing trends and performance of Quality Assurance protocols in the Electronics Business Unit. The Quality Engineer will plan, implement, and manage adherence of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external quality and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
1.Monitor and Analyze
- Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues using defect data and structured methods.
- Compile and analyze internal defects, customer complaints, and supplier issues to drive action plans and implement improvement activities.
2.Strategy and Process Development
- Document problems, defects, and non-conformances identified in Production.
- Develop key performance indicators, analyze trends and implement improvements.
- Develop, lead, and evaluate non-conforming material(s) and part(s) while implementing Corrective Actions, as required, for both internal and external requirements.
3.Communication and Collaboration
- Support the Quality Inspectors.
- Utilize technical expertise, communication, and organizational skills in collaboration with internal team members, customers, suppliers, and service providers.
- Aid in resolution of complex issues through collaboration with internal and external parties (Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Suppliers, Customers).
4.Quality Systems and Compliance
- Participate and support Internal Audits.
- Support contract review activities, interpreting Customer Quality requirements.
- Represent the Quality Team during Customer Visits and Audits hosted onsite.
5.Systems and Functions
- Drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on ISO9001/AS9100D Standards.
- Support the processing and evaluation of Customer Return (RMA) Product.
- Support the Management of the Calibration System.
- Oversee the compliance of the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control Plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related discipline required.
- Knowledge of J-STD and IPC required.
- 5+ years' experience in electrical, electro-optical, or mechanical manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 and related QMS Standards.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience using RCCA Tools, such as, FMEA, Pareto, 5 Why, 8D, and Fishbone.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, specifications and standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.

- Experience with Quality System and Process Auditing - .
- Lean/Six Sigma training is a plus.
