Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.The focus for this role is the design and support of ground power systems, primarily rack designs of low voltage (< 300V) AC to DC and telemetry systems used to interface with, power, and monitor spacecraft vehicles and other flight hardware, including batteries.Key activities you will accomplish in this role:Design and maintain engineering drawings and documentation, support build, and perform testing of ground support equipment for a variety of electronic rack-level components, digital and/or analog circuitry, vendor supplied or custom designed cards, computers, processors, network switches, wiring, cable connections, and console and/or data interfaces.To be effective in this role, you will need:Experience with design, manufacturing, test, and final assembly of purpose-built, integrated electronic systems or Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).5+ years of professional experience. Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.Prior experience with one of the following:Familiarity with electrical system or Electrical Ground Support Equipment design and troubleshooting.Basic knowledge of Power ElectronicsDesired Skills:Experience with low to medium voltage systems including safety considerationsCircuit analysisTest equipment experience including Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, and Voltage ProbesFamiliarity with 3-phase AC powerProduction of electrical engineering drawings using ZukenManufacturing and final assembly of rack level electrical equipmentFailure analysisFamiliarity with electrical design IEEE standardsWindchill (EPDM)Electrical drawing checking experienceHardware component selectionDevelopment of electrical design documentation to include operations and maintenance of hardware equipmentMechanical drawing checking experienceLinux experienceNI Labview operationsExperience or coursework in analog and digital designSelf-starterAbility to work in a collaborative team-based environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office to include VisioPay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
