We’re looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to work across hardware design and EMC/environmental testing on complex, multi-layer boards for highly regulated markets.
This role could suit a mid-level/senior hardware engineer or a test engineer looking for a path into design.
This Electronic Design role offers the chance to see products all the way from early requirements through to final qualification. You’ll be working on ruggedised computing systems used in demanding environments, with plenty of variety in both design and investigation.
The work spans requirements capture, schematic design, supporting PCB layout, troubleshooting EMC and environmental test issues, and producing the detailed documentation required for regulated industries.
Electronics Design Engineer required skills:
Electronics or hardware engineering background
Some experience in board‑level design
Comfortable with hands‑on testing such as EMC or environmental work
Ability to fault‑find at board level
Experience in analogue, digital or embedded electronicsDesirable skills of interest –
Exposure to regulated sectors – aerospace, automotive, medical or similar
High‑layer‑count PCB experience (18–24 layers)
Video or high‑speed interfaces
Knowledge of ORCAD, Mentor or similar design tools
Design‑for‑EMC awareness
