Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer\n\nLocation: Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.\n\nSalary: Up to £48,180 Depending on skills and experience\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nImmediate work will be design proving of first off PECs to allow integration into system\n\nCompliance Proving\n\nDeveloping test jigs for PECs (custom interface boards)\n\nDevelopment of test specifications\n\nSupporting system integration and design proving\n\nMaintaining good documentation of design information\n\nEngagement with hardware and software engineers both within the local team and with other sections.\n\nImplementation of required design changes (updating circuit designs and working with PCB Layout engineers)\n\nYour skills and experiences:\n\nEssential:\n\nA good understanding of electronic design both Analogue & Digital\n\nDegree qualification or time served experience\n\nCapable of circuit analysis\n\nGood practical fault finding skills\n\nDesirable:\n\nPrevious experience of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment\n\nExperience of low-noise analogue techniques\n\nKnowledge of high-power techniques (kW level)\n\nExperience of FPGA/CPLD development\n\nBenefits:\n\nAs well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.\n\nUnderwater Battlespace SRMLU (Stingray Midlife Upgrade) Sonar Team:\n\nThis role very much relies upon collaboration between team members, to share ideas and ensure a joined-up approach. Although the team will provide support and guidance, it is expected that the successful applicant will be able to independently research solutions to problems.
