With in-house capabilities for design, manufacturing, and testing, they produce a variety of testing machinery, ranging from materials testing equipment to aerodynamics and fluid mechanics systems. Recently becoming employee-owned, they have a culture that encourages input and growth from all team members.\n\nThe Role:\n\nWe are seeking a skilled Electronics Design Engineer to join their engineering team, reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer. The focus of this role is on hardware (80%) with a smaller element of firmware development (20%), and the successful candidate will work on a range of exciting projects including new product development and modernising existing product lines.\n\nYou'll work closely with a small, experienced team to develop robust, future-proof solutions that are reliable and easily maintainable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electronics background who enjoys working in a supportive environment where ideas and innovation are encouraged.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nFull design lifecycle work: schematic capture, hardware design, PCB layout, and testing.\nDesigning and developing electronic systems including ADC conversion, USB interfaces, SPI communication, thermal couplings, and signal conditioning.\nCollaborating with mechanical engineers on concept development.\nModernising existing products with updated electronics solutions.\nProducing schematics, layouts, and associated documentation.\nOccasional firmware development and updates (training available if required).\nUsing KeyCAD for design work (bonus for experience with ESP32 or PIC microcontrollers).\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nAn experienced Electronics Engineer with at least 5 years' experience in a design role.\nStrong hands-on experience across the full design and test process of analogue and digital electronics.\nAbility to work independently in a small, collaborative team.\nSomeone who is wanting to be the “go-to” person for all things electronics in the business\nProficiency with schematic capture, PCB layout, and electronic hardware testing.\nA people-person who is happy to work as part of a small team and contribute to a friendly, open culture.\nThe Benefits:\n\nCompetitive Salary Package of up to £45,000 depending on experience.\nWorking Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Mon–Thu) and 8:00am – 1:00pm (Friday).\nHybrid working up to 2 days from home for the right candidate\n26 days annual leave + bank holidays, with additional days awarded for long service.\n+ Option to purchase additional holidays.\n\nPension & Profit Share: Generous pension contributions and access to a profit share bonus scheme.\nEmployee Ownership Benefits\nSupportive environment with on-the-job training and mentoring from experienced engineers.\nHow to Apply:\n\nIf you're an Electronics Engineer looking to join a collaborative, employee-owned company with a friendly team and exciting projects, please send your CV to Matt Taylor at (url removed) or call (phone number removed) for more information.\n\nATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
