Micro Quality Calibration was founded in 1978 and is an A2LA ISO/IEC 17025-2017 Accredited Metrology laboratory specializing in calibration, repair, testing, First Article Inspection, and sales (162 lines) of precision measurement and test instruments (In-house, On-site, and Mobile Calibration Laboratory). MQC continues to be at the forefront of the Metrology industry in capabilities/disciplines offered to its customers.

What We Are Looking for in the Ideal Candidates

We are seeking an experienced Technician for several open positions available. A high degree of organizational ability and communication with all levels are essential to the position.

Positions Available Include:

  • Accelerometer Technician - ability to calibrate and repair both shock and vibration accelerometers.
  • RF Technician - ability to calibrate and repair a wide variety of RF/Microwaves (RF capability up to 50GHz (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc.) Knowledge of Temperature highly recommended) disciplines to ensure measurement accuracy for measurement and test equipment.
  • Electrical Technician - ability to calibrate and repair a wide variety of electronic, test, diagnostic, and general-purpose instruments ranging from Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Hipot Tester, Frequency Counters, Power Supplies, etc.
  • Temperature / Humidity Technician - ability to calibrate and repair a wide variety of Environmental Chambers, Ovens, Furnace, thermometers, hygrometers, Thermocouples, RTDs, etc.
  • Pressure Gauge/ Torque Technician - ability to calibrate and repair measurement instruments ranging from Torque Wrenches and Force Gages. Repair knowledge in the instruments listed above is a plus.
  • Gas & Liquid Flow Technician -ability to calibrate and repair measurement instruments ranging from Pressure Gages, Liquid Flow Meter, and Gas Flow Meters. Repair knowledge in the instruments listed above is a plus.
  • Hand Tool Repair Technician - the ability to repair and calibrate a wide variety of general-purpose Mechanical tools, ranging from Digital and Dial Indicators, Calipers, O.D/I.D. Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Masters, Height Gauges
  • Physical Dimensional Technician - ability to calibrate Thread Rings / Plugs, Cylindrical Plug / Rings

What Will You Be Doing:

  • Calibrate primary, secondary and/or working calibration standards
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision measurement equipment
  • Identifying and correct measurement errors, as applicable
  • Preparing calibration reports and certificates
  • Adapting existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurements tasks
  • Reporting on activities and obstacles to upper management
  • Other duties as deemed necessary

Technician Requirements and Skills:

  • Military PMEL / TMDE / DOD training is strongly preferred or 3-4 years of equivalent training is required
  • Experience in calibration / working with precision measurement equipment
  • Exceptional attention to detail while producing error-free work product
  • Proven experience working under ISO 17025 strongly preferred
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of team members
  • Great organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities
  • Local travel may be required to perform on-site calibration at the customer facility
  • Willing and capable to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Problem-solving- and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines
  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence and a clean driving record
