Job Description

The Electronic Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and automated equipment in our cabinet production facility. This role focuses on keeping our computerized manufacturing systems, control panels, and electronic components operating at peak performance to minimize production downtime.

 

JOB DUTIES: 1. Troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems on CNC routers, panel saws, edge banders, and automated woodworking equipment 2. Maintain and program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) for production machinery 3. Service servo drives, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control centers 4. Diagnose and repair sensor systems, encoders, and feedback devices 5. Maintain HMI (Human Machine Interface) touchscreens and operator control panels 6. Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and PLC ladder logic 7. Program and modify PLC logic to optimize production processes and resolve operational issues 8. Troubleshoot communication networks including Ethernet, DeviceNet, and serial communications 9. Install and configure new electronic components and control systems 10. Calibrate electronic instruments and measurement devices 11. Complete detailed electronic maintenance logs and diagnostic reports 12. Maintain electronic spare parts inventory and component specifications 13. Update and maintain electrical drawings and control documentation 14. Collaborate with production staff to understand system performance issues 15. Recommend electronic upgrades and automation improvements 16. Maintain proper lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety protocols

 

  • JOB TYPE: Full Time
  • WAGE PER HOUR: $30 to $34 negotiable based on experience and knowledge
  • HOURS PER WEEK: 40+ Sometimes we run a B shift then yes
  • OVER TIME: 10-30 hours if there are open projects that need it
  • WORKWEEK: Monday – Friday (Saturdays if needed) 7am – 3:30pm
  • PAYMENT DAYS: Bi-Weekly -Fridays
  • PAYMENT TYPE: Direct Deposit or live Check
  • BREAK TIMES: (1) ½ Lunch
  • JOB START DATE: ASAP

 

 

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong electronic knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of production support and facilities equipment. • Solid understanding of preventive electronic maintenance practices and the ability to perform scheduled maintenance tasks efficiently. • Good knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and vendors. • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling, for extended periods. • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• TSU/Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field, OR equivalent experience • 3+ years of electronic maintenance experience in manufacturing environment • Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms) • Experience with AC/DC motor drives, servo systems, and industrial control networks • Proficiency with electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics and diagrams. • Experience with CNC control systems and woodworking automation • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.) • Familiarity with robotic systems and automated material handling

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS?: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment.

•Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times. •Ability to work with small electronic components and fine detail work •Comfortable working in control panels and electrical enclosures •Ability to work in various positions including standing, kneeling, and overhead access •Good manual dexterity for handling electronic components and tools ENGLISH LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: yes, Basic TRAINING: We have a Sr. Maintenance technician who is bilingual who will be training. MUST ATTEND SAFETY TRAINING: Yes DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED?: Yes, to be able to drive back and forth to work DRIVING BONUS: No and no gas provided either.

 

EQUIPMENT AND APPAREL COMPANY UNIFORMS: Company T-Shirt and Jacket SAFETY APPAREL: Steel toe Shoes, safety glasses are mandatory We give $100 reimbursement once a year for safety shoes.

WORKPLACE TRANSPORTATION

TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORKSITE: They will need to get a car to drive back and forth from work. Home will be less than 30 mins away.
