Electronics Engineer | Cambridge | £40,000 - £50,000\n\nOur client is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle — from early design verification through to production support and field investigations. You will play a key role in ensuring new PCB designs meet performance, reliability, and quality expectations before and after release to manufacture.\n\nThe Role:\n\n+Develop and execute verification test plans for new electronic designs.\n+Define test requirements to maximise PCB assembly coverage and validate against specifications.\n+Design, build, and document custom test equipment for engineering and production use.\n+Diagnose faults to component level across complex electronic assemblies.\n+Lead structured root cause investigations for recurring or production-related failures.\n\nKey Skills and Experience:\n\n+HNC (or higher) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.\n+Minimum 3 years’ experience within a product development and/or manufacturing environment.\n+Strong ability to interpret schematics and understand functional circuit blocks.\n+Experience fault-finding to component level and producing structured investigation reports (e.g., 8D or similar).\n+Solid grounding in analogue, digital, embedded, and power electronics.\n+Proficient with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, signal generators, etc.).\n\nJoin a team where your engineering expertise directly shapes the performance and reliability of advanced high-performance electronic systems used in critical infrastructure and technology applications worldwide.
