The Mission
The company is seeking a hands-on Electromechanical Technician to join its systems team, working on the systems that operate its electrolyzer stacks — assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated test benches. The role involves applying mechanical, electrical, and software skills daily to support the company's test systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems on lab and field units
- Wire, install, and troubleshoot sensors, actuators, electrical panels, valves, and pumps
- Troubleshoot and maintain test benches, including instrumentation and controls
- Test and validate sub-systems through implementation of test protocols
- Implement and tune PID controllers
- Write technical documentation
- Benchmark suppliers and manage vendor contact
- Maintain and improve inventory systems
Abilities and expertise sought
- Diploma or degree in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
- Some exposure to PLC programming (any major brand; specific platform can be learned on the job)
- Familiarity with electrical panel design and reading wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, and basic electronics troubleshooting
- Comfortable using an oscilloscope and basic electronics measurement tools
