Position Summary

We are seeking a TGCM Technician 5 to support semiconductor gas and chemical operations at the TSMC facility in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for operating, monitoring, inspecting, and maintaining liquid bulk and specialty gas delivery systems while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of related industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, chemical, or technical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience working successfully in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work safely under strict safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergency or high-pressure situations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience with specialty gas or chemical delivery systems.
  • Military technical/electronics background.
  • Nuclear industry or other highly regulated industrial experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on gas and chemical systems.
  • Conduct daily operational rounds, record equipment readings, and complete safety inspections.
  • Monitor gas and chemical delivery systems, including toxic gas monitoring equipment.
  • Perform gas cylinder, chemical tote, and drum change-outs.
  • Understand and follow proper liquid bulk delivery procedures for all site products.
  • Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers.
  • Evaluate operational issues and escalate problems when necessary.
  • Participate as an active member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Successfully complete TGCM Technician 5 qualification and on-the-job training requirements within 12 months.
  • Support Air Liquide and customer safety, operations, preventive maintenance, and training programs.
  • Assist in training TGCM contractors as required.
  • Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) procedures, including PPE, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Forklift Operations, and Confined Space Entry requirements.
  • Perform analytical testing and sampling procedures as assigned.
  • Complete all assigned work in accordance with established operating procedures.
  • Ensure safe operations that protect employees, customers, and surrounding communities.

Hazardous Waste Responsibilities

  • Transfer hazardous materials to designated storage areas following approved procedures.
  • Maintain proper documentation, labeling, and handling of hazardous waste.
  • Follow spill response, emergency procedures, and hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Prepare waste containers for shipment.
  • Support waste minimization and environmental compliance programs.
  • Safely operate forklifts when required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 11 hours per shift.
  • Ability to operate hydraulic foot pumps for 55-gallon drums weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and physical movement throughout the workday.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work safely in industrial and hazardous material environments.
