Electro-Mechanical Technician\n\n£32,411 starting salary (£16.60ph)\nLocation: Alton (15 minutes drive from Basingstoke)\nHours: 8am to 4pm Monday–Friday, 37,5 hours per week\nOvertime: Daily at 1.5x basic rate\nDuration: Permanent\n\nSyntech Recruitment are excited to be supporting an aviation overhaul and repair business based in Alton, who are looking to expand their team with an Electro-Mechanical Technician.\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\n * Work in a specialist aviation repair environment\n\n * Daily overtime at 1.5x basic rate\n\n * 25 days holiday + bank holidays\n\n * Opportunity to apply transferable skills from industries such as white goods or electronics repair\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\n * Reading schematic drawings and circuit diagrams to diagnose and repair faults\n\n * Carrying out soldering, testing and refurbishment of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies\n\n * Using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other bench equipment to fault find\n\n * Completing work to CAA, EASA and FAA Part 145 standards\n\n * Maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office and the MRP system\n\n * Ensuring all work cards and job packs are completed correctly\n\nWhat we’re looking for:\n\n * Strong ability to read schematic and engineering drawings\n\n * Proven experience with soldering and electronics/electro-mechanical repair\n\n * Fault-finding experience using scopes, meters and standard workshop tools\n\n * Transferable repair background (aviation or industries such as white goods/electronics repair)\n\n * Computer literate (Microsoft Office & MRP systems)\n\nThis role would suit someone with hands-on electro-mechanical skills, keen attention to detail, and a methodical approach to diagnostics.
