Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for someone to help develop, and improve mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, combining mechanical design expertise with electrical and power electronic systems to deliver solutions that improve performance, reduce costs, and increase manufacturability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical)
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical design
• Understanding of electronic systems and ability to interpret schematics
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of machine shop practices and sheet metal fabrication
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including ability to manage large assemblies
• Skilled in AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar 2D drafting software
• Strong background in sheet metal design and fabrication principles
• Experience in new product development from concept through production
• Ability to create custom parts and assemblies to meet customer-specific requirements
• Experience maintaining production-ready documentation including revision notes and interface drawings
• Hands-on approach with willingness to work on plant floor solving assembly and quality issues

Responsibilities:

• Key contributor helping create new products and improve existing designs
• Direct involvement with leadership team including President on company strategy
• Collaborative environment with no walls between departments
• Design mechanical and electro-mechanical systems that improve performance and reduce costs
• Create custom parts and assemblies for customer-specific requirements
• Work closely with shop personnel on design changes and new product options
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to modernize design methods and tools
• Coordinate with order entry to complete custom drawing packages within customer deadlines
• Support test department in troubleshooting and resolving product testing issues
• Hands-on role with real impact on production and manufacturing
• Work on sheet metal enclosures with electrical and electronic systems
