Job Description

Job Title: Electro Mechanical engineer (Control Engineer)

Location: Napoleon, OH 43545

Job Type: 12 Months of Contract with possible extension

Shift timing: 04:00pm - 12:00pm (MON to FRI)

Job Responsibilities:

• Review/debug PLC logic, error-proofing, and data collection functions.
• Lead root cause analysis and downtime elimination.
• Support lean manufacturing layouts, continuous improvement, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Review/approve electrical, mechanical, and control schematics, BOMs, and drawings.
• Develop and update PMs, critical spares lists, PFMEAs, Operator Instructions, Control Plans, and Process Flow Charts.
• Interface with vendors for system design, build, and installation.
• Support quality and problem-solving tools (5 Why, Fishbone, 7 Step, etc.).
• Ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Controls Engineering experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical & mechanical).
• Proficiency with RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx (required).
• Experience with fastener torque systems (), barcode/RFID, pneumatic devices, and safety equipment.
• Knowledge of PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, and gage/layout procedures.
• Skilled in MS Office, AutoCAD, and VisView.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to support extended hours, weekends, and multiple shifts as needed.
