Purpose of the Role: The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for assembling equipment within a production environment. This role focuses heavily on mechanical and electrical assembly of industry products to support daily manufacturing operations. The technician will work from models, drawings, schematics, and work instructions while adhering to all safety and quality standards. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production setting.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical and Mechanical Assembly
- Assemble sections of machines to customer specifications using various hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or assembly instruction.
Quality & Compliance
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Inform supervisors of defective or faulty equipment or materials, maintaining high quality standards.
Tools & Equipment
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working conditions.
- Report damaged or unsafe tools immediately.
Safety & Workplace Organization
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. and following all company safety protocols and standards.
- Participate in safety training and report hazards or near-miss incidents.
Qualification requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Technical school training or relevant military experience a plus
- Background in wiring control panels and electrical enclosures a plus.
- Familiarity with bearings, belts, chains, rollers, and mechanical drive systems a plus
- Forklift certification or willingness to be trained.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills
