Electricity Distribution - Network Planner

We are currently recruiting for a Grade 4 Network Planner to join us at our Worcester depot. Planners design our network and work with our Engineers to construct, reinforce, alter and replace our equipment. As you can imagine, the pace is fast, and if you join us, our customers will trust you to provide excellent service and minimise any impact.

To apply youll need English and Maths GCSE at Grade C/Level 4 minimum OR Functional Skills Level 2 or above. Well need to see evidence of your qualifications.

As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working. Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.

Main Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver new services/alterations/small capital projects

Carry out onsite meetings

Work with wayleaves/estates specialist to obtain 3rd party agreements for NGED assets

Financially review and close projects

Communicate with customers effectively to manage expectations and resolve queries

Schedule contracted works

Communicate with local authorities and external stakeholders

Ideal Candidate

Strong communication skills to solve customer problems and explain issues simply and clearly.

Resilient, organised and able to prioritise workload.

Team player, experience using iPads and computers is a must.

Valid UK driving licence essential; mobile throughout area required to attend site visits.

Confidence and ability to reach required standards with appropriate training; may need Level 2 City & Guilds 2339 qualification and complete TAR, which includes daily diary completion and a number of tasks and reports as required.

Initial appointment at lower salary until all relevant courses and training complete.
