Job Description:
Electrician – Journeyman report to the supervisor or person designated by the Supervisor to perform assigned functions in accordance with Clark Electrics policies, procedures and assist in achieving the company’s aims, goals, and objectives. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, equipment, and associated materials within the electrical construction industry.
Job Skills:
Basic math skills, ability to read plans, dependable transportation, and effective communication skills. Commercial electrical construction experience including EMT, GRC, and MC cable experience . The ability to install switch gear, and effectively layout lighting per plans.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and work with an Electrician Mechanics and Helpers as directed by Supervisor or designated person.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings including conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, transformers, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics.
- Perform circuit installations, terminations, and testing to ensure proper operation.
- Ensure all installations comply with NEC codes, local regulations, and job specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices or helpers, ensuring safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- Communicate effectively with foremen, project managers, and clients as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of Florida or reciprocal)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commercial electrician
- Strong understanding of the Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical blueprints.
- Proficient in installing various types of conduits (EMT, RMC, PVC) and wiring methods.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, benders, meters, and testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification .
- Must be able to safely operate equipment (trenchers, lift trucks, aerial lifts, etc.).
- Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook.
- Operate two handed tools as required.
- Assist Mechanics or designated person with energized circuits and equipment as outlined in the Company Safety Policy Manual.
Physical Functions:
- Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.
- Climb ladders (all types).
- Complete overhead work for extended periods of time.
- Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
