Job Summary

We're a reputable electrical contractor in Newington, CT, seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. We specialize in residential new construction, with projects ranging from mid-rise apartment complexes to single-family homes. The ideal candidate will be a licensed E-1 or E-2 electrician with a strong background in residential wiring and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and safety. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale projects and grow with a well-established company.

Key Responsibilities

• Residential Electrical Installation: Expertly install complete electrical systems in new construction residential projects.

• Rough-in & Trim-out: Perform all phases of electrical work, from initial rough-ins to final trim-outs for outlets, switches, lighting, and breakers.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.

• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work collaboratively with other trades to ensure project efficiency and mentor apprentices on best practices and safety standards.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to the Electrical Code (NEC) and Connecticut electrical codes to maintain a safe and compliant job site.

Required Qualifications

• Licensing: Must hold a valid and active Connecticut E-1 or E-2 Electrical License.

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of residential electrical experience, with a focus on new construction.

• Technical Skills: A thorough understanding of residential wiring methods and materials.

• Certifications: OSHA 10 certification is required.

• Equipment: Must own a basic set of electrical hand tools and have reliable transportation.
