1st Shift Electrician – Industrial Manufacturing (7:00 AM–4:00 PM)

Location: Buffalo, NY (On-Site)
Schedule: 1st Shift — 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Employment Type: Full-Time | Overtime Available

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced 1st Shift Electrician to support our industrial manufacturing operations in Buffalo, NY. The Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, panels, motors, controls, and production equipment in a fast-paced fabrication and assembly environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong industrial electrical experience, problem-solving ability, and hands-on expertise working in a manufacturing or fabrication facility.

Key Responsibilities

As a 1st Shift Industrial Electrician, you will:

  • Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade electrical systems, wiring, circuits, motors, panels, and components
  • Diagnose electrical issues using multimeters, testing tools, and electrical schematics
  • Perform preventive maintenance, electrical inspections, and equipment calibration
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Test electrical systems to ensure proper function, safety, and code compliance
  • Document repairs, maintenance logs, inspections, and service activities
  • Maintain inventory of electrical supplies, spare parts, and materials
  • Ensure all work meets NEC codes, OSHA safety standards, and company requirements
  • Support production equipment, lighting systems, control panels, power distribution, and facility electrical needs
  • Respond quickly to production equipment failures to minimize downtime
  • Work overtime as needed to support production demands

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an Electrician Apprenticeship Program (required)
  • Technical or trade school training in Electrical Technology ()
  • 3–5 years of electrical experience—industrial or manufacturing strongly
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical theory, NEC codes, wiring methods, and electrical safety
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and basic ladder logic
  • Proficiency using electrical hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, climbing, working at heights)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed

Experience

  • Industrial electrician or maintenance electrician background
  • Experience with motors, VFDs, control panels, electrical cabinets, conduit bending
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and basic troubleshooting
  • Electrical experience in metal fabrication, modular construction, or industrial facilities
  • Preventative maintenance experience (PM programs, calibration, inspections)
  • Experience with low voltage and high voltage systems
