ELECTRICIAN

Location: Mobile - Covering the Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry and surrounding areas)

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience) + enhanced overtime rates

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Recruitment: Appointment subject to satisfactory DBS and reference checks



About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and reliable Electrician to join our team as a mobile worker covering various commercial and domestic sites across the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing company that values quality workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities



Carry out service, maintenance, and repairs on electrical appliances within commercial and domestic properties.



Attend reactive breakdowns, fault-find, diagnose and complete repairs efficiently and cost-effectively.



Complete EICRs and ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations (BS 7671).



Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations and arranging follow-up visits when necessary.



Liaise with management and clients to ensure works are completed to a high standard.



Supervise helpers involved in installations where required.



Maintain accurate records and complete all relevant documentation promptly.



Ensure all works comply with health & safety requirements and company policies.



Take a proactive approach to identifying and quoting for additional works.



Use company vehicle, tools, and equipment responsibly and keep them in good order.



Requirements



- Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical installations

- Strong knowledge of BS 7671 - IET Wiring Regulations

- Good understanding of electrical services and products

- Awareness of Health & Safety working practices

- Good eye for detail and a motivated approach to work

- Full, clean UK driving licence



Desirable Qualifications



- City & Guilds BS7671:2018 Level 3 - Electrical Installations

- City & Guilds 2391 - Testing & Inspection (or equivalent 2394/2395)

- Enhanced DBS verified
