Position Summary:

The Electrical Service Technician (Tech) provides the labor and production on service work orders and projects. The Tech works under the Project Manager for existing or new installations as well as troubleshooting electrical wiring and equipment installations in varying environments.

Key Functions:

  • Perform assigned service calls and electrical tasks from the Job Foreman and/or Project Manager.

  • Support business development efforts: Assists the PM in preparation of estimates, proposals, serves as lead presenter in presentations to secure new project work. Experienced in developing scope of work, time and manpower estimates. Responsible for developing new business with current and new clients.

  • Participate in project kick off meeting and assist PM in forecasting manpower needs for projects.

  • Responsible for implementation of projects.

  • Responsible for on-time, accurate submittal of timecard.

 

  • Acquire all required licenses for projects and ensure all inspections are handled correctly and in a timely manner

  • Implement construction activities in conjunction with the onsite foreman & PM to ensure project is being built on schedule, and within budget.

  • Perform special projects and complete all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

  • The ability to learn to quote additional work onsite as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

  • Strong electrical code knowledge

  • All-around experience in Industrial, Residential, and Commercial electrical applications

  • Possess the ability to operate app’s and/ or use computer programs to document job cost, time and changes to the scope of work

 

Certifications:

  • Journeyman Electrical License (required)

  • BAS-specific certifications (e.g., Tridium, Siemens, or Honeywell BAS certifications) .

  • OSHA 10

  • Electrical certifications are a plus.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Journeyman License

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights and in varying temperatures.

  • Proven Experience

 

 

 

 

Work Environment:

  • The role involves working in commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings, including plant rooms, offices, and rooftops.

  • Occasional lifting of equipment and tools is required.

  • Availability for on-call support or emergency service requests may be required.
