What You'll Be Doing



Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and reactive breakdown repair across a wide range of plant and equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.

Maximise uptime on critical systems such as:

Investment casting machinery

Ceramic mould making systems

Heat treatment furnaces

VAR, ISM, and Air Melt Induction furnaces

Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new and existing equipment.

Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventative actions.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet operational targets.

Maintain accurate records using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Ensure compliance with EHS standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.What We're Looking For



Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations

Proven experience in heavy manufacturing or foundry environments

Strong electrical bias with mechanical aptitudeHands-on experience with:



High-temperature furnaces (VAR, ISM, Air Melt)

PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley)

AC/DC drives, sensors, instrumentation

Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilitiesDesirable Extras



Apprenticeship-trained in Electrical Engineering

Experience with SCADA systems and data logging

Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 environments

Basic skills in mechanical fabrication, welding, or machining
