I’m looking to recruit a Electrical Wirer / Panel Wirer to join a well-established manufacturing business specialising in the design and build of electrical control systems.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, and control systems to become part of a growing and supportive team.

The Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Build and wire electrical control panels, switchgear, and associated equipment from engineering drawings and schematics.
  • \n

  • Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, GA drawings, and bill of materials.
  • \n

  • Assemble electrical components including relays, contactors, PLCs, terminal blocks, and circuit protection devices.
  • \n

  • Carry out point-to-point wiring and cable termination to a high standard.
  • \n

  • Install trunking, DIN rails, cable containment, and panel components.
  • \n

  • Perform electrical testing, continuity checks, and fault-finding activities.
  • \n

  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards and electrical regulations.
  • \n

  • Support panel modifications, upgrades, and prototype builds where required.
  • \n

  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines.
  • \n

The Requirements

\n

    \n
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Wirer, Panel Wirer, Control Panel Builder, or similar role.
  • \n

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • \n

  • Experience wiring industrial control panels and electrical assemblies.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of electrical components and control systems.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • \n

  • Experience using hand tools, crimping tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • \n

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n

  • Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • \n

Desirable Skills

\n

    \n
  • Relevant electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent).
  • \n

  • Experience with PLC control systems and industrial automation equipment.
  • \n

  • Understanding of electrical standards and regulations.
  • \n

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, automation, machinery, or control panel environments.
  • \n
