Job Title: Electrical Wireman | $17-$19/hr (entry-level) up to $25/hr (intermediate level) | Canton, OH

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as an Electrical Wireman in an industrial-commercial setting, where you will assemble large power distribution equipment. This role requires expertise in electrical assembly, wiring of control panels, and switchboards for switchgear equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical assembly and wiring of control panels and switchboards.
• Utilize schematics to wire panels and units accurately.
• Bend and install conduit (Rigid & EMT).
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Complete units that may take over a month to build and wire completely.

Essential Skills

• Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work, such as electrical apprenticeships.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
• Ability to perform point-to-point wiring and electrical assembly.
• Experience with conduit bending, rigid conduit, and electrical testing.
• Must have own electrical tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Conduit experience (Rigid or EMT) is .
• Troubleshooting skills to resolve wiring and component application problems.
• Switchgear experience is a plus.
• Journeyman Card is advantageous.
• Industrial electrician is beneficial.
• Commercial or residential electrical experience is considered.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a modern, well-lit, and organized facility. Employees work alongside mechanical assemblers and other fabricators to complete jobs. The standard work shift is from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. The environment fosters teamwork and self-motivation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
