Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer in Belfast

Job DescriptionRole Purpose:The Electrical Testing, Inspection & Remedials Engineer is responsible for carrying out electrical inspection, testing, and associated remedial works within domestic properties and communal areas, primarily for Local Authorities and Social Housing clients.Key Responsibilities Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and associated remedial works in domestic and communal environmentsEnsure all works comply with current Health & Safety legislation and company proceduresComplete all work in accordance with BS 7671 and NICEIC best practiceAccurately risk assess working environments and manage site safetyComplete jobs within agreed target times while maintaining high-quality standardsCarry out effective fault finding and demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical circuitsEnsure vehicles are fully stocked to maximise first-time fix ratesComplete electronic job reports and certification using a PDA or handheld deviceLiaise professionally with customers, clients, supervisors, and administrative staffWear company uniform at all times and represent the business in a professional mannerReport any safeguarding concerns or vulnerabilities via the companys Code 4 systemMaintain cleanliness and organisation of company vehicleDispose of waste in line with company policies and environmental proceduresParticipate in training and development as requiredSkills & Experience Essential: Proven experience in electrical testing and remedial works within domestic propertiesStrong knowledge of electrical regulations and compliance standardsAbility to fault find and diagnose electrical issues efficientlyCompetent IT skills, including electronic certification and reportingExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyDesirable: Experience working within Social Housing or Local Authority environmentsFamiliarity with compliance-driven contracts and KPI-led performanceQualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)18th Edition Wiring RegulationsInspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)Benefits: No mandatory call outsCareer progressionInternal promotionTo apply pass across a CV and a member of MarkMay will be in touch ASAPTPBN1_UKTJ
