The Electrical Technician plays a crucial role within the integrated maintenance team, handling installation, repair, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems on-site. This position involves working on new installations, emergency repairs, routine maintenance, and system upgrades by applying solid electrical principles and using advanced diagnostic tools and specialized software.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
• Replace defective parts in controllers, switchboards, switches, conductors, and other electrical fixtures
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical components including transformers, generators exciters, and hydraulic/pneumatic devices
• Conduct preventive repair and maintenance of field electrical systems, devices, equipment, and components
• Test solid state circuitry and digital/analog equipment, focusing on cell prox circuits and 4-20 milliamp control circuits
• Install enhancements and major electrical subsystem upgrades
• Design and modify motor power control equipment circuits; read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Prepare schedules and coordinate activities with other divisions and sections
• Plan and lay out work orders or tasks using sketches, blueprints, and drawings
• Ensure accuracy and completion of all preventive maintenance duties

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in electrical systems maintenance
• Strong skills in electrical troubleshooting and circuit testing
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and wiring diagrams
• Experience with motor control circuits and preventive maintenance
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with solid state circuits and 4-20 milliamp control circuits
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
