Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and technically minded Electrical Technician to support the electrical assembly, wiring, and integration of our custom fire trucks. This hands-on role focuses entirely on technical work and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. If you have strong 12V and AC wiring knowledge, can read and interpret electrical diagrams, and are eager to work with cutting-edge multiplex programming, we’d like to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complete 12V wire routing for all truck electrical systems
- Install lighting, switches, accessories, diodes, relays, breakers, and solenoids
- Integrate generators, light towers, and AC accessories
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and chassis wiring systems
- Wire and troubleshoot battery systems, ensuring correct power and grounding
- Perform multiplex programming of chassis and apparatus systems
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and shop equipment safely
- Assist with plumbing or fabrication work as needed
- Follow OSHA and company safety practices; document non-conformances and support continuous improvement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or degree in electrical systems
- Vocational training or experience in automotive, heavy-equipment, or industrial electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of 12V and AC wiring
- ES-Key, Power Vision, and IC Systems experience strongly
- Ability to read diagrams, manuals, drawings, and safety procedures
- Skilled with hand/power tools; basic computer and programming knowledge
- Effective communicator able to work independently or collaboratively
