Electrical Technician

Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent



An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a growing facilities and maintenance team, supporting a multi-site operation in Huddersfield. This is a hands-on, day-based role focused on ensuring electrical safety, compliance, and operational continuity across a mix of office and warehouse environments.



Key Responsibilities:



Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across various sites

Perform regular inspections, testing, and fault-finding in line with current electrical regulations

Certify all work to industry and legal standards (e.g. BS7671)

Maintain accurate records via a digital maintenance management system

Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and wider team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely

Assist in delivering small projects and upgrades where required

Be flexible and willing to support occasional out-of-hours tasks as needed

Requirements:



18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds 2382-18)

Proven experience in a similar electrical maintenance role (commercial, warehouse or multi-site environments )

Confident working independently and as part of a team

Experience with inspection, testing, and electrical certification (e.g. EICRs)

Basic IT skills and familiarity with digital job tracking systems

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between local sites

General building maintenance knowledge outside of electrical work would be beneficial
