Electrical Technical / Design Manager\n\nLocation: London\n\nSalary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package\n\nAnglian Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a leading Tier 1 construction and engineering business to recruit an experienced Electrical Technical / Design Manager.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a growing MEP team supporting the delivery of major construction projects across London and the South East. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving design excellence, managing technical delivery, and supporting complex projects from pre-construction through to completion.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Electrical Technical / Design Manager, you will provide technical leadership across multiple projects, working closely with design consultants, BIM teams, project delivery teams and clients to ensure high-quality, compliant and efficient electrical design solutions.\n\nYou will be responsible for managing design processes, mitigating technical risk, supporting project teams and helping to shape engineering strategy across a diverse portfolio of projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n• Lead and manage electrical design and engineering activities across multiple projects\n• Build strong working relationships with design consultants, BIM coordinators and project stakeholders\n• Review and manage technical design information throughout the project lifecycle\n• Ensure designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards and project objectives\n• Support pre-construction, bid and work-winning activities\n• Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks\n• Provide technical support and leadership to project delivery teams\n• Mentor and develop engineers and technical team members\n• Drive best practice in health, safety, quality and environmental performance\n• Contribute to strategic engineering and business planning initiatives\n\nRequirements\n\n• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience\n• Significant experience working for a Main Contractor, MEP Contractor or Engineering Consultancy\n• Strong technical understanding of Electrical Building Services Design\n• Experience managing design teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams\n• Strong knowledge of commercial, healthcare, infrastructure or large-scale construction projects\n• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills\n• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously\n• Commercially aware with strong problem-solving capabilities\n• Passionate about mentoring and developing engineering talent\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\n• Opportunity to join a market-leading construction and engineering organisation\n• Involvement in high-profile and technically challenging projects\n• Clear career progression opportunities within a growing business\n• Competitive salary and benefits package\n• Hybrid working arrangements\n• 26 days annual leave, increasing with service\n• Pension scheme\n• Private medical insurance\n• Life assurance\n• Employee share scheme\n• Additional flexible lifestyle benefits\n\nIf you are an experienced Electrical Design or Technical Manager looking to take the next step in your career with a forward-thinking and highly respected organisation, we would like to hear from you.\n\nFor a confidential discussion, please apply today or contact Anglian Recruitment directly
